The Hiland Hall School is a state approved independent school serving students ages 5-14 where students have the opportunity to learn at their own pace in their own style.  Enrollment is approximately 38 students from the tri-state area.

Who We Are

We are a small school founded in the tradition of Progressive Education with teaching practices influenced by innovative institutions such as the Prospect School and Bank Street School, and by progressive educational thinkers and philosophers such as John Dewey.

We are located on Route 7A/Harwood Hill in historic Bennington, Vermont.

Our school day is from 8:15 am-2:45 pm. Kindly email or call us to arrange for a visit for you and your child.
